could 是委婉用法,常用于疑问句中或者否定句,
根据句意,你能帮我吗?---似的,我能,
can表示能够做某事,用于肯定句中

问句中的could不是过去时的意思 而是表示一种委婉的语气 其实是现在时 所以要用can
其实，这种用法有很多：Could you fetch the book for me? 你能帮我把书拿来吗？
