What I Have Learned from My Years at University
We always say that “I will enter into university to be a useful person to my motherland” or something like that when we were kids.We always encourage ourselves to work hard so that we can go to a famous,at least good university when we were students.With a blink of eyes,I will graduate from this university a few months later.At this moment,thinking of my impending graduation,I am excited but also upset.Have I work really hard enough,how much time has been wasted and what the hell I have learned from my years at university,such questions seem so important for us who will graduate from the campus.
As far as I am concerned,this question can be answered from three aspects.
First,I learn how to study,especially how to read.I think what I have learned in the passing years is that I have gained more knowledge through reading.A good book is the best of friends,the same today and forever.We need not only a good book but also a good reading habit.What I want to insist on is that reading should be enjoyable.The only thing we do not need is to read for reading’s sake.
Secondly,I learn how to work.The life in campus is colorful,and one of the reasons is that there are various social activities and participation in different clubs and association.I have acquired some useful communicative skills and begin to know how to understand and appreciate other.I have gained the abilities to handle the problems and deal with crises independently.Besides,I have known better how to work in a team.
Thirdly,I learn how to live.For man is man and master of his fate.Each man is the architect of his own fate.Therefore the way how to live you choose becomes quite important.None is of freedom or of life deserving unless he daily conquers it anew.Specifically speaking,how to live is how to go through every day,every minute even every second.Of course I can not say I haven’t wasted any time,but I always try my best not to live an unexamined life.
All in all,I believe that we study at university not only to learn some skills and some knowledge from our textbooks and we need to master the way of thinking and acquire some abilities as well.But more importantly,we should have a proper attitude towards life,towards value.On the basis of that,I should say we really need to have such an experience at university.
