dare, need情态动词时,用于否定、疑问或条件句中.
而第一个空是情态动词,因为直接加了not
如果是行为动词,则应说成：she doesn't need to ask就行了.
第二个空是条件状语从句,所以,可以用dare
也可以说dares to go walking...
最简单的区别：
dare或need直接加not就是情态动词；后接动词原形；
在前面加don't/doesn't或didn't就是行为动词；后接宾语,比较常用to
如：
She dare not go out alone at night.
=She doesn't dare to go out alone at night.

needn't 和dare 都是情态动词， 后接动词时不带to, 情态动词（除了ought外）都是如此
